FAQ

Some of our most frequently asked questions are covered here but more diverse queries can be answered though our contact us page.

Yes, we only use the highest grade silver oxide cells and guarantee them for 12 months from the date of purchase

Generally not, this is called the EOL  (end of life) indicator, which is refering to the amount of reserve is still left in the battery. The watch will still keep time, but you will need to change the battery very shortly. This indicator is usually found on better quality Swiss made movements , such as ETA and Ronda.

Citizen Eco-drive watches use a rechargable capacitor which is charged by light (any light will do, not just sunlight). We can fit a new capacitor, which should last about 10 years on average.

Depending on whether or not it is an automtic (mechanical) type, or a quartz movement (battery operated). We can service your automatic Tag Heuer, but a quartz Tag generally doesn’t need servicing, we would replace the complete movement, which is a better option.

As long as a good quality branded silver oxide or lithium  battery is fitted by a competent person, it will last anywhere between 12 months and up to 10 years (lithium). Unfortunately these two types of cell are not interchangable, in other words the watch movement will take either one or the other, and not both.

Depending on the quality and compexity of the watch we would estimate two to three weeks for a top end watch such as Breitling ect, depending on how busy we are at the time. If it is a replacement movement that is needed, this normally takes 3 to 4 days, as log as the parts is readily available.

A resounding YES, only genuine parts are used on all of our repairs because it is not possible to fit anything but the original as watches are not designed that way.

Yes we can, they tend to be fairly expensive and we would need to order them specially  in from our supplier which normally takes a couple of days.
